Spoken Like a Wheel
(for cabcool)
Every time I turn around
there's a labyrinth
of creativity
painting words with
artistic sensitivity
You could make
mere pop stars
jealous of the way
you are peppered
with the love and praise
at Deep Underground Poetry

I, too, thank you Tallen.
You've always believed in me -- even seeing beyond what I have delivered to what I will one day bring.
I myself have had cause to use that "Tallented" word in reference to you, earth empath. Your tallent does not relent.
Blessings.

Thank you!
By way of teasing him... does he not look like Labyrinth?
He's the other "tall, skinny papa" 🤣
I'm so glad to be getting to know you. 🌹💘

I can take a tease, EW.
There goes that favourite word again.
If labyrinth is a mistake for approximating me, I'm still a rake, anyway.

Goodness, EW: your humbling tribute has left a busy writer speechless!
What made you think of this? It's a beautiful thought and I accept it with a promise -- a promise to try my best to climb to the level of the acclamation.
"Labyrinth" became one of my fovourite words when I met my former wife, Hyacinth -- no doubt for obvious reasons. This alone gives the piece resonance for me; and yet, all eleven lines ring with at least one word that draws my eyes to the depth they convey.
incrEDIBLE WORDS, indeed!
Moreover, the 3-2-3-2-1 linear rhythm reminds me of my initials, cab. I think that's really cool.
Thank you!
Yours sincerely

Thank you! Cool response, man!
I'm just imaginative and busy observing pop music...
In this case I encourage you to listen to listen to a song called "jealous" by an artist by the name Labrynth. Just look at him and you will laugh. He handsome like you. But that's what's funny. Two poets. You really could co-opt that name. 😎😉
He only wishes he had time to write poetry like yours!

Your followup response has given me an even clearer understanding of your reference! Thank you: I will look up Labyrinth and his music. Little would you know my profession is also music (education) -- 19 years at Ministry of Education as Music Officer, 5 years as National Music Coordinator with our "festival" office, and 8 years before all those as School of Music staff.
Just in case your title has become lost on the eyes of readers, I see how shrewdly you have coined it. You create the most perfect spokes in the rolling wheel.
Really interesting!

Oh wow! Cool! You are a music head, too!
Thanks for the observation about the spokes. 😎
