The Remnants Of Hostility

The remnants of hostility
hide behind her emerald eyes
misdirected, but present
in the scatter of past lies

She would banish (if she could)
the remnants of hostility
to allow herself a brief reprieve
to serenade with frivolity

The need keeps ever growing
but what is difficult to shake
the remnants of hostility
get directed at her mate

blouse undone and shoulders bare
drawn tight in her vicinity
it could erupt, if they should fuck
the remnants of hostility
