Reality

Laying down trying to sleep
thoughts run through my mind.
Can't sleep,restless,tears begin to fall.
Why do we believe in something we cannot see?

Thinking where did I go wrong?
When did I lose my faith?
When did I stop believing?
Is it real or just a fantasy?
A dream of alternate family.

What is real,what is a dream?
Is Happiness real, or is it just a fantasy?
I can't remember the last time I was happy.
I'm so alone,vulnerable and lonely.
Tears fall from heaven as they grace my face.
Sitting on the steps,
contemplating my future's grace.

Why does life sometimes hand us bad luck?
Never knowing if our dreams are empty promises
never to come true,
only broken by the voice of reality.

Broken Alone and lonely,
given up on life and all its dreams,
to awaken in a broken reality.
Pot holes ,broken hearts,dreams and fantasies.
Living a lie as each day goes by
waiting for empty prayers to come true.

Faithless,broken hearted,and shattered dreams
Is there such a thing of happiness?
Sad, alone, and confused
What is there to do?

Depression sets in and steals your dreams
Leaving you with empty dreams and reality.
Lost your focus and meaning for life,
Now they say prozac is the way,
to return to your life of misery and broken dreams.
The dreams of your own reality.

Some will tell you to pray and to have faith,
how do you pray when you don't believe
Down on your hands and knees,as tears run from my face
Upon the river of promises and broken dreams,
Ripping away at the seams,trying to save grave.
Is this real or just a fantasy?
