As The World Passes By
Got to wake up
These dreams are not healthy
Need the world to break through
Before I become more reclusive
In a dizzying descent
Into nothingness
Where the darkness
Feels so peaceful
My story is a cliché
Casting no shadow
Need to rest this mind
But crisis point has been reached
Spitting out bile
The acrid taste of existence
Has never sat well
Some might say I welcome my demise
Chained to the reflection
A screaming
Ugly sore
Time has not healed
When do I wake up
Tears on the page
Are imaginary emotions
I have forgotten how to feel
How many days
Left in this living grave
Slowly decaying
As the world passes by
These dreams are not healthy
Need the world to break through
Before I become more reclusive
In a dizzying descent
Into nothingness
Where the darkness
Feels so peaceful
My story is a cliché
Casting no shadow
Need to rest this mind
But crisis point has been reached
Spitting out bile
The acrid taste of existence
Has never sat well
Some might say I welcome my demise
Chained to the reflection
A screaming
Ugly sore
Time has not healed
When do I wake up
Tears on the page
Are imaginary emotions
I have forgotten how to feel
How many days
Left in this living grave
Slowly decaying
As the world passes by
