Rest In Peace C.A.B

Sometimes I believe
My brother still lives
and that the body they found was not his
but somebody else's
Closed casket, I asked to see
Best remember him as he was, they said to me
So much damage to his flesh,
they inflicted wounds into his chest
Four wicked men against one humbled soul
what evil rules this world
They tethered his hands and feet,
placed plastic over his head and they left him for dead.

Dominica! a place where causing death by blunt force trauma gives you a slap on the wrist and no jail time.

Dominica! I grieved on your land as I watched my mother hold her heart in her hand just to ease the weight that burdened her chest.

Dominica! I grieved on your land as I watched them bury the man I call my brother who was only identified  by the tattoo on his chest

I never got the closure I needed and I don't think i ever will,
when the only thing that helps me cope
is telling myself, It wasn't him.
