The Pill of Free Will
I wanted you to stay but you chose to go
All I needed to say was, babygirl don't go
My mind said no but my heart was saying yes
It wouldn't have meant much if I had to request
Just isn't the same if it's not of your own free will
I won't force feed me down your throat like a pill
Until you desire to quench that fire, it'll just burn
Never make one a priority if you're of no concern
One day you'll discern this but you may miss a lot
At the end of a rainbow may just be an empty pot
Plot your courses wisely with everything that you do
Wherever your journey takes you, always be true to you
All I needed to say was, babygirl don't go
My mind said no but my heart was saying yes
It wouldn't have meant much if I had to request
Just isn't the same if it's not of your own free will
I won't force feed me down your throat like a pill
Until you desire to quench that fire, it'll just burn
Never make one a priority if you're of no concern
One day you'll discern this but you may miss a lot
At the end of a rainbow may just be an empty pot
Plot your courses wisely with everything that you do
Wherever your journey takes you, always be true to you
