The Marathon Still Continues

I've won marathons & have run some victory laps  
Figuratively, expressed poetically without any caps  
With gats on my lap, about to psychologically snap  
A rat in this hue man race lured into societal traps  
 
It's all been mapped out by those with clout before we came to be  
The things that we see today aren't new; just study our history  
This is exactly how the system was designed to be from conception  
Many things we read or see on T.V. are just tools used for deception  
 
So we must carry weapons; armed to the T with knowledge  
Avoiding corruptions; the ledges we know lead to carnage  
Spillage of talent down the drain 'cause violence isn't tamed  
None can go unscathed &, in some way, we'll all end up maimed
