The Long White Line
Black night
Black top
Tires tracing a long white line
Miles to go
Time passing slow
Returning to what is mine
It’s been too long
Cravings have grown
Her skin and my touch
She sits patiently
Like my good girl does
My rock waits for her crutch
Miles to go
Hours to pass
Every one is one less to wait
Always mine
Forever hers
Not by chance it was fate
The closer I get
The better I feel
As darkness fades to light
She has a way
Of calming my demons
And locking them up tight
Our normal
Different than most
But perfect all the time
Closer every second
To what I need
My one my only MINE
This road is long
But a journey worth while
All we have is time
Black night
Black top
Tires tracing a long white line
Black top
Tires tracing a long white line
Miles to go
Time passing slow
Returning to what is mine
It’s been too long
Cravings have grown
Her skin and my touch
She sits patiently
Like my good girl does
My rock waits for her crutch
Miles to go
Hours to pass
Every one is one less to wait
Always mine
Forever hers
Not by chance it was fate
The closer I get
The better I feel
As darkness fades to light
She has a way
Of calming my demons
And locking them up tight
Our normal
Different than most
But perfect all the time
Closer every second
To what I need
My one my only MINE
This road is long
But a journey worth while
All we have is time
Black night

Tires tracing a long white line
