Monsters Must Die !!
There’s a mirror
I look at everyday
The reflection it shows
Never reveals the monster
A pack of tarot cards
Cracked crystal ball
Warp my future
Amongst the spiritual world
Crawling inside a door
Won’t hide my failures
Phone book full of nothing
So called friends fall like dominoes
The sound of misunderstanding
Carried on a billion breaths
Like the drool
Ignorance spits out every day
Been called weird
Abrasive by some
Just because I don’t fit
In their disability box
Want to change things
Tired of the boxes
Of the boot prints on walls
I try to kick them down
This monster Autism
Scares them
As always monsters
Must die!!

I know little of Asperger's, ( but I'm learning) especially the issues that can effect one with Asperger's

When I say monsters must die, it’s the way Autism is portrayed by those that don’t understand the struggle e go through every day all is seen is the monster that comes out when under stress or when we can’t express what we are feeling. Monster that rises through no fault of our own but as in all good horror films the “monster must die!!“

Someone with a disability, can, not by everyone, be deemed, someone to avoid, those that look that little bit longer
I seen this first hand, but it's not something I think about, and I've found it's not in everyone
For who's really normal? What is normal?
I'm too old to be concerned what people might think

I just responded to a post in Rhyme & Reason that I had a reverence for those who are diagnosed by society as "Intellectual Disabled". Though I've only known a few in person, their eyes house a deeper knowledge than those diagnosed "normal" do; myself included.
Ignorance is the monster that must die. Poems like this are an arrow to it's stronghold.

Yeah, some quote unquote normal people are highly over rated and can behave as quite the monsters themselves.
