I still recall the spires of the silver dawn
Untouched by dogmas and the blood of holy wars
Sanctimonious hypocrisy came alive
And reared its ugly head just like a hydra storm

So much jealousy and crooked pointed fingers
They were so eager to place the wages of blame
The self righteous damned their brothers and sisters
And then leagues of children followed me to the flame

"Father, when we needed you
You never bothered to be around
Oh God, when you cast us out
We fell for you"

Because we will never see
The faith you want us to believe
So many scriptures left askew
And we fell as stars for you

Make way for Wormwood
Whom heralds the coming of
