      I may not be upset....
        I may not be happy....
        I may not meet your/their expectations;
      I may not reciprocate your energy;
 
 
       I may not be present;
       I may not compliment your personality;
       I may not be your friend;
       I certainly don't want to be enemies;
 
    
       I may not share your goals;
       I may not be cheery;
       I surely have a soul,
       not quite understood clearly;
 
        
       I may not be that fun;
       I walk with tired legs;
       I see the bigger picture;
       I appreciate each day;
 
 
        my soul is very tired;
       still young, as far as age;
       it's tough to hold my silence, as much as to engage....
 
 
         the social world is draining;
        the "you/me" world feels the weight;
        my heart may be hardened,
 but it's never filled with hate
