I've laid my biggest problem bare  
You say you don't care
That it changes not a thing in your eyes
That even though it isn't something you desire
You're still willing to be mine
You have helped me every step of the way
Since the day that we started talking
It's selfish of me
To want you to be my solution
But I can't help it
You're the only one that can solve it
Nothing else has seemed to work
Only you
 
It makes me feel guilty
Putting all of this on you
My mind flinging doubts
Targeting you
My weakness and my strength
But every time we talk
It melts away
I forget all about it
Until you have to go
And then I'm left with my thoughts
Nowhere to go
All I can do is wait for you
Listening as they try to tear apart my love and trust in us.
I don't believe a word they say
But that doesn't make em go away
They've always been persistent
Trying to wear me down
Till they can slip in  
And tear me down
I refuse to let that happen with you though

My only guide
It's selfish
