Phoenix Wings
Don’t Chase.
Please make no attempts to contain me; I am as elusive as they come. What is it that could have drawn you into such a predicament with I?
I have heard expressions of my eloquent speech, I have felt gratitude from those who have reached closer to their summit due to my words of advice, it is my penny for their thoughts.
But still, I remain elusive, fiery and dangerous. I am not to be chased, you may never catch me. But say that you do, could you even contain me?
My words have been known to be the source of lacerations on the hearts of queens in the deck, so when my fire meets your ice what is you contingency plan for what may happen next?
Don’t love me, I am not meant to be contained. My pens will scribe words that my tongue will never say.
Your emotions are mirrored through sorrowful eyes, your joy converted to dismay, and truthfully I empathize, for I too have previously embraced a reality which was revealed to be a myth, a lie.
Forgive me, this was never my intent. Sometimes we create situations where we think we’re in control, but that is merely a delusion, the majestic gateway to what we may see as perpetual bliss, but time will have us see that the thing we fell into was not love, but a chaotic abyss.
My apologies will not help; they will not heal, so I will keep them to myself. But just before I fade away I would like to wish you good health and the luck of the Irish so that one day you will transcend and be for yourself, everything you wished of me.
Please do not chase me; I am as elusive as they come. The skeletons in my closet will illustrate the harm that I have done. My fires does not need your ice, or my hands the pleasure of experiencing the texture of your marvelous face, neither should my lips dare dream of the sweet taste of yours.
Before you sink yourself I will surely flee, leaving the pavement of your psyche unscathed.
Just watch me soar as a Phoenix as I return to my elusive state.
Do not chase.
