Bone Weary
I'm feeling bone deep weariness
Which is not to say that I'm tired
Though I am that as well
I simply feel an overwhelming lassitude
That runs to the core of my being
It seems to make simple joy and happiness
Something that takes a lot of energy
Weariness sucks the life out of me
I simply have no idea what that cause is
And the simple act of wondering about it makes me feel
Even more weary
I don't see any end to this feeling
Since I don't understand it
So I just thought I'd tell you all about it
In case you wonder why I am the way I am

"Bone weary" - an expression my parents & grand-parents used - and the look on their faces told the deeper story. Hope the phase passes soon and you find new energy and emotional motivation. Best wishes,

Perhaps it's because I'm growing older that I feel this way, just like your parents and grandparents. I surely do hope it's just a phase and the weariness ends with a new suppy of energy. Thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it.

It pains me to know that you too feel this way. At the very least though I feel a kinship with you and perhaps we will both come out of this with a new sense of purpose and a huge supply of energy. It doesn't feel that way now but time could take away the weariness. I feel right now.
