Depart To Restart

He's fighting a spiritual battle but no one has a clue
Beliefs evolving so what he thought he knew now seems untrue
What does he do to fly free like a beautiful dove
Away from assimulation's bondage created by those above

Spirit being tugged on like strings of a puppet
As he tries to rid his soul of manufactured shit
Some from the pulpit & some from the school
Drowning in misinformation in society's pool

He'd been fooled due to his prior ignorance
Something that many think brings them bliss
Not hearing the hiss of the snakes in the grass
But now that mentality is a thing of his past

He blast his newfound knowledge to who'll listen
Removing all the foilage blocking his transmission
A transition that's not for the faint of heart
Must be willing to depart in order to restart
