Eros rose sore
from bed in raw,
wet wood to fore,
after withdraw.
His Venus war
already o'er,
seed left in core
of his amour
the crucial score.

The first line was an anagrammatic phrase I made up for the Greek name of the love god the Romans called Cupid.

Each to their own, but thematically I was linking the erotic with the classical, Eros being much used (after Venus) as a metaphor for sexual love. I also happen to have a talent for anagrams. Many poets have done word play in various ways.
