Johnny going down to New Orleans
He got bright white sneakers and Red n Blue Jeans
He got his tail wrapped tight around his arm
All this junk is keeping him calm
He dances real strange inside his mind
He’ll probably sleep for ever this time
Dirty dust road keeps taking him back
He just don’t see the depth of them tracks
thought this view would make everything new
but the damn night sky keeps everything blue
Johnny washed up nice and clean
He damn near drowned a riverboat queen
played that house kept turning them cards
if you cant pay you'd better bite down hard
Now Johnny been down to new Orleans
he lost his sneakers in a black jack dream
Johnny found god and got himself clean
started telling them folks what to believe
Now Johnny going down to New Orleans

The lyric was just scribbled down so not looking to improve the grammar or punctuation. I'm not even sure it matches the vocal but its close enough.

Loved the music - absolutely. And it went with the lyrics perfectly for me. I liked the raspy voice - it complements the music. The music could be somewhat lower or the voice louder - whichever.
For me, songs like this seem to go on, and on vs. those with a chorus or refrain. The "hahaha yeah" is fabulous, but perhaps repeated too much? Whereas it might work better in a chorus or refrain?
Anyway, I did enjoy listening very much. The last "hahahaaaa YEAH!" was great!

Thank you for the considered feedback Ahavati, very much appreciated, I was given the music to this so I could have a play around with it and this is what came out, I know what you mean about the sound levels, when I play it on my phone it loses the levels but on my PC everything is back ok Im not very good with technology so stuff like this takes me ages.

There were places where the music seemed to overtake the words - what I meant was lowering the sound on the music a bit. But, it could be my speakers too! Someone else my say it's fine.

Thak you, yes I tried to drop the music level and boost the vocal but it was all over the place, I think I need to buy some proper software rather than the freeby stuff ive been using :(
