Mama Bear
I see you huffing around my chickens!
You’ve scared them to the dickens!
“Rawr” I say,
You can’t stay!
Hey bear, shoo bear,
I am one you can not scare!
You slowly walk, but you better run,
My protective fury will not be fun!
You may have powerful paws,
With deadly claws.
But nothing can compare,
To my strength as The Mama Bear!
You’ve scared them to the dickens!

True story. Happened today, had a bear sniffing around my chickens. Chased him/her away. Went out armed with just my camera.

Scary, I just saw the size of some of those brown bear when at the museum with my daughter yesterday...great poem as you can read this in more than one way

Luckily where we are we just have Black Bear, big ‘ol pussy cats they are.

Had one on my porch once, that was a sight. The same one also fatally wounded one of my dogs, but typically bears around here rather run than fight. This one makes around number 10 that I’ve personally shooed away, haha.

Haha, raccoons can be vicious, even more so than the bears. First time I saw an opossum I thought it was an alligator. It’s mouth was wide open and all I saw were teeth, so my brain said “ahhhh! Alligator!”, then logic kicked in - um, alligators don’t live in the wooded mountains of Va. Also had one play dead on my porch, that was cute, then I had one I fed, I named him Opie.

Damn girl u rhymed dickens with chickens just for that i give this a 100 out of 10. I live in Australia so no bears only 50 foot koala bears that sneak in the house by sliding down the chimney and eating all the Nutella.......wait maybe im getting koalas and santa clause confused oh and we have Wolverines (Hugh Jackman) his hairy like a bear.Anyway fun read.
