Empty Hungers

I set you down
with tender fingers
from a Plath anthology
you burn my blood
such pain delicious
strokes my soul so foolishly
and I ignore
all taunts of jaded reason
fall lost in your implore
Such hungers have I known
such empty hungers
I have known

Your freshest mysteries
slip before my skies
your chains
unleash my demons
bursting free
before these eyes
'till I ignore
all taunts of jaded reason
fall lost in your implore
Such hungers have I known
such empty hungers
I have known

Your softest lace
a sweet caress
dreamed lifetimes
of compounding
all frail resistance withers
a'weep with heartbeats drowning
and I fall lost in your implore
breathe so deeply for
these hungers
have I known
such empty hungers
I have known
