I let her into my heart.

ooh, indeed :)
like the piece. i do. my one issue is the link between title and content: wrought - the most common use of the word would allude to being worked and beaten by hammer, hence my raised e-eyebrow given the 'knife'
having said THAT, it works perfectly as you probably intend, with its meaning being "worked into shape by artistry or effort", so relating to the actual act of creating the 2-liner rather than relating to the imagery within the body of those words? or is it to imply the narrator was the one on the end of the artistry wrought by her knife?
if you want to imply another meaning, please fill me in as i'd like to balance this one out in my head. thankyou! :)

Your second meaning and "wrought iron" plus the sound of "rot" are the things I was after! Love your comments.

thankyou... my brain can now stop buzzing about the possibilities and settle :D
just one thing - i hear the word 'wrought' not as 'rot' but as (w)rort, so didn't pick up on the 'rot' allusion/sound though my mind did play with the wrought iron element ;)

lol - my husband would often think i'd written a line that either didn't scan or have the sound-links i could hear/see - now he's familiar with how i speak, he gets it, and the same goes for me reading his poetry. so many accents!
