Dance me to the end of love # Tribute

Where phrases ever meant so deep
And romance softy sway
This gravelled voice so casual
That was the Leonard way

Caught you up, wrapped you close
Like breath upon the neck
The cheek to cheek the slow waltz speaks
When you hearts hear every beat

And closeness is all being
The rise and fall a clasp within each turn
Our eyes now hold the rapture
Of the violins that burn

Feet that spoke like clouds of fluff
Times hands that music slowed
Circled, we were all and us
The too and fro, that metronome

Take me on the airs of beauty
And tap my feet and words are mouthed
Both to sashay, stay forever welded slouched
Together the eternity, of fingers ever touched
