at the end of the day
what more is there
to wait for?
the rusted swords
of moonbeams?
what more is there
to wait for?
the shining razor
edge of stars?
what more is there
to wait for?
two dirty coffee cups
crying in the sink?
what more is there
to wait for?
love?
no.
there is nothing
more to wait
for.

they say the wait itself is elusive...but still quintessentially undeniably there ..in threading hope weaving unto the fabric of faith entwined. all is love, else wat else... your scribe digs deep the wait so much that it instils hope.. let's hope let's wait . sometimes mosttimes the despair the darkness need to be met n lived to be feeling the lighted love so eternal ..swinging in the extremeties in the facing , breathing in turbulence are what the tempering beautiful souls do and are.. peace to you bk, excuse my excessive blabbers, love your pithy scribes n flow so much. shine on dear .

Dont apologize. I find your " excessive blabberings" to be most endearing. Thank you for your kind words and insights.

Waiting equates to expectation, Kitts. And there will always be disappointment in that. Enjoying the moment for what it is in gratitude can be difficult to master. Or, it was for me; however, once mastered another world opened up completely. You know all of this. I know all of this. Everyone innately knows all of this. Eschewing positive thoughts is like eating junk when we know we should eat healthy - we know it's bad for us - but we do it anyway.

Dear BK,
This makes me think of the song ‘Alfie’. I really love the imagery of “the shining razor
edge of stars? ” because I love looking up at the nighttime sky. And, “the rusted swords
of moonbeams?” because you’re so right with the look of that. On some nights there are rays from the moon and they do appear as rusty swords. I never thought of that. This piece is going to help me be smarter today than yesterday because I left an unrinsed tea cup in the sink and spent 15 minutes scrubbing the stain from the sink. Today, I’m not doing that. ;-) H🌷
