I'm just a lady who should have been a man
so it would be alright
alright to love you
I can't cause I'm a woman
women are vicious
women are cutthroat we'd tear each other down
so would it be okay if I lick your poetry?
hide it away inside me with my attraction for you
because it makes me uncomfortable
to be a woman with a taste for a girl like you
hide it where I'm really me
just a human with love for another human
inside me where I'm free
without labels or prejudice
it's just you and me
holding each other naturally

The “pussy/poetry” substitution made me smile, in the “can I lick your” line. A little humour never hurt a love poem. The latter verses bring the poem back to something genuinely quite touching, I have to say. The portrayal of a tentative lesbian romance is sweet.

Brenda love reading about your feelings toward this woman in your life. There is a tenderness between women which is emotionally deep and sensual.
