It's A Heart Thing

It’s a (heart) thing
Enchanted flowings of her essence
I know it’s a hard thing
To lay ahold the rapture of the deep
Grasping illusions of the light
Flickering on the sides of sunken ships
How it feels to refuse the demise of what could have been
Letting go of the passion that once gave death meaning
And in turn life as well
It’s a heart thing
The swelling up of volcanic proportions
Idolizing what you now know is no more
But a grave
A sounding board of rhythmic echos
Warring within its hollowed chambers
I know it’s a hard thing
To silence the contractions
That speaks of a journey
a path of lone survivors
Worn of the crashings of fated meetings
Starr-ed crossings and apparent meanings
Behold the path less traveled
Where the pricks of tumbleweeds
meet the soles of those whose bared their souls
Now an expedition of apathy
and the unforeseen erosion of unknown terrain
It’s a hard thing
I mean it’s a heart thing
Cinematic/emotional background music
A twinkling of hope, a string of the barely grasping on
The melody of pausing, not a chanting of offense
But the erupting of my defenses
Anticipating a great release
It is all up to me
Again
Swallowing up the courage in a cup of His serving
Or turn away again to the blasphemy of who I am
The lackluster of my story
It is only a chapter
Keep reading, keep writing
Keep growing, keep going!
For fear is just a mirage of instability
Stagnating the purpose that is yours alone to discover
When all is said and done
The hope of grace is all we ask
The humility to speak in a tirade of confusion
Keep going,
In the midst of the whirlwind
This storm has caused an unusual quaking of a soul, you’ll never know
But who you are we must never forget
The only other option is to quit
And with that you cant live with
And in that you cant be content
So the rumbling continues, it’s a hard thing
It’s a heart thing
It’s a soul thing
It’s a what you’re really made of thing
When your heart is trapped with the chambers of its own walls
And the beating is just that
A beating
Of braille, let your heart speak
In a morse code of tears and groans
I’ll hear it from the depths of the earth
I’ll hear from the lightyears from galaxies beyond
Sending light and sounds rescue
I wont let this be the beginning
But the ending of ego and expectations
Rallying a war cry that you’ve never heard
But I've heard every word, line and stanza
Let your poetry speak for thee
Literally
And metaphorically
I mean this literally...
It's a heart thing
Connected to anything and everything
Love
