SOS Notes

I sit up and think
what is the piece of me that's missing?
my heart has become cold
think I got that from my mother
my dad was a drunk
but I’ll never be like that
guess I have a nack for disappointment
must of got that from him
I'm growing tired of the world
the youth is so clueless
the adults so hopeless
aliens are laughing above us
thinking we’re all kool-aid drinking freaks

the monster in me is screaming
tells me I’m a creep
tells me I’m angry
and hatful
pathetic
and sad
I cover my ears
tring to remember
it's not about anything
but my own happiness

not worth want
not worth a try
is how I feel sometimes
can’t shut off those voices
like wildfire all around me
it burns
people only need me when they want something
when I need them they’re nowhere to be found
guess I’m the prick for letting them down
and I don‘t even care
just as selfish as anyone else
I'm all too aware of my failures
trying to stay in my own world
shutting out the negative thoughts
building my own place of peace

the monster in me is screaming
tells me I’m a creep
tells me I’m angry
and hatful
pathetic
and sad
I cover my ears
tring to remember
it's not about anything
but my own happiness

I’m sorry, but
I give way too much
maybe it’s because I never got much
so I’m sorry, but
I love way too much
until I’ve given up

I write sos notes
send them off to the world
every little feeling that I don’t want to hold onto
in hopes it will make the pain go away
the hurt that eats away at me daily
it grows like a cancer
still I hang on to the love few show me
I got to stay strong for them
never let them know
what a mess I am some days
