"I'm Sorry"

Two words are the only ones I cannot stand
Once learned they never stopped pouring from your lips
The sorry you say is not what you feel
For 'I'm sorry' is only a word plus one.

Friend,

Do not take the blame on yourself anymore
Accepting that all is your fault invites the world
The world that will roll on top of your shoulders
Accepting the blame is not where you should be
Stand up over the pit of lingering doubt
Look down without the feeling of dread
Close this gap forever.

My Dear,

Those two words lack substance when they are said too much
Everyone expects you to apologize for even the little things
NO THEY DON'T.
I only want you to see that no one wants your apology
It is usually THEM needing to apologize to YOU.
I've seen your life and shared in your sorrow
Though not to the same extent HOWEVER
There is room for change to crawl through
Starting with this.

My Dearest Friend,

I only wish the best of you
Like a mother to a daughter
A father to a son.
I cannot help this way I feel in it's intensity
However I know I do not control you.
Though what I want is always for you to be safe
Never to be sorry for things you need not be
To be happy and comfortable
Never depressed and distressed at the seams.
I will be your Angel.
Don't give up.
