Innocent
Innocent
Imaginary eyes burn holes in my skin
Shame on my name
But I don't feel the same
Confidence and pride is whats lurking inside
This is my name, I will never deny.
Innocent
I'll scream it til I'm horse
Stop judgeing
Stop whispering behind my turned back
Put back on your pretty masks
Please pretend to have a soul
Innocent
I scream it from way down deep
Hope all will hear, but know only few will listen.
A woman with a bag over her head asks, "Why are you so angry?"
To look around one would see just people
But I see a lynch mob, marching insync and chanting for blood
Innocent
Helpless and confused
There is no savior for me
A soldier damned to fight in an imaginary war
Fight til the end, that is sure to be bitter
Because with my family, I am never a quitter.
Imaginary eyes burn holes in my skin
Shame on my name
But I don't feel the same
Confidence and pride is whats lurking inside
This is my name, I will never deny.
Innocent
I'll scream it til I'm horse
Stop judgeing
Stop whispering behind my turned back
Put back on your pretty masks
Please pretend to have a soul
