The Animal In The Dark
Some things are unexpected. Very unexpected.[b][i]
Fate has dealt me a very queer hand over these slow days.
I see harlots and harlequins, solemn faces and disgraces.
My eyes look upon them but see no more than shadow.
No light shines out, I won't open the door for them.
No spark, no fire, no chemicals, no nothing.
But fate always deals its cards in time.
There's always something to keep us alive,
Other than fucking television.
[b]Sparks.[b]
I've crossed the barrier between childhood and manhood.
I've had those hurts, that pleasure, that happiness, regret and that sorrow.
Mundane dribble of life, never becoming, yet never phasing.
But fate deals its cards in time.
There's always something to keep us alive,
Other than fucking television.
The ace of Spades? Or is that a Joker?
No jokes, Diamond prize without lies.
It starts as something small but sly, a flirt, a temptation.
But fires grow, not diminish.
Fires cover distance and capture your vision.
[b]Fires.[b]
Erupting, vulcanous raw red in my eyes.
Bloody red, vicious and sickening.
Uninterrupted, undoubting, unparalleled.
Unfazed, darkened heart.
Lust, fire, electricity, blood.
Elements pressurized, cooked and boiled.
Elements corrupt me.
The abyss deep inside my chest, is filled with fiery iron-rich blood.
[b]Darkness rises.[b]
They say darkness never captures the light.
No. It rips it to shreds.
Out of darkness breathes feral monstrosity.
An animal is born in me.
[b]Canine. Hunter. Killer.[b]
Fangs sharpened, blood pumping, adrenaline rushing.
My senses heightened.
My taste amplified, my touch magnified.
Every feeling is ethereal,
The natural world shifts, the dark rises and my vision eclipses.
The images that flood my mind,
Unnatural, unethical, inhuman.
And pleasuring in everyway.
Tainted mind is no longer in this world.
It's possessed. Enveloped in obsession.
You've placed the collar of nails around my neck.
It's locked and you've got the key.
[b]I'm yours.[b]
