Thank You, My Love
The creak of the bedroom door wakes me up.
I keep my eyes closed as you shuffle into bed.
Late night. Again.
You kiss my cheek and roll over.
All I hear is your quiet snores.
I chuckle as I settle back in.
My mind wonders as I drift to sleep.
I can't help but to ask you,
Why on earth did you pick me?
There is a thousand beautiful faces in this world.
Different personalities.
And yet, out of all of them,
You chose me.
You chose this girl,
Complete opposite of you,
And love her
Care for her,
Accepted her flaws,
And brought out confidence,
She never thought she could have.
You dragged me out of the warzone I called my life,
And showed me what love was really like.
I thank you.
I thank you for being next to me,
During some of the most darkest times in my life.
I thank you for the love and the kindness,
You show me every single day, without fail.
My love,
What would I do without you?
Who would I be?
I ask myself these questions,
But I don't want to know.
I don't want to think about being a part.
I love you,
To the moon and back.
Till death do us part.
I keep my eyes closed as you shuffle into bed.
Late night. Again.
You kiss my cheek and roll over.
All I hear is your quiet snores.
I chuckle as I settle back in.
My mind wonders as I drift to sleep.
