Morning Swells
Morning swells awash with sounds of the sea
as sun peeks over the dewy hills
resting from a joyous late night climb
inhale
the rush of summer rips my soul
taking in more and more of you
from twinkling stars in your eyes
to the spectacular eruption at dawn
breathless
the days flash into the night
naked, but not afraid of the fall
risking it all, doubling down
on some crazy eights or nines
licking the lithe of life
then taking one giant bite
