Poetic DNA

 
the flavor of a poet is something to be considered while reading
tread carefully you're entering a mystical area
where soul meets verse is unique to each person
more personal than a DNA strand
a misty ground..a sacred place

we come one and all
paying homage to the ones who came before us
offering our fruits of knowledge
touching one another on the deepest level
usually reserved for the gods alone

we revolve, turn and evolve
burning starlight as we go
opening vistas to the celestial
doorways for the weary ones seeking truth
collecting the energy of the cosmos
then releasing it to the world

we enter in with the understanding
this is all-consuming and powerful
channeling one of the oldest artforms
ritualistically cleansing our stream of thought
when darker energies come through

a catalyst of the purest magic
we are forever altered by this mysterious form of life
for it is a living, breathing, aethereal being
