The night was setting & hanging upon the crescent
As if the sands in the hourglass were not present
Standing still in our footprints on this earth
I've been told tales of mages from birth



What magic do they inhibit from their vessel?
Can they extract the demons that I wrestle?
Place on me an enchanted spell of purpose
Make a difference, have meaningful goals



The pixie can use her dust to grant a wish
Will I hope for the charming prince's kiss?
Or perhaps the desire to end life's bites
No more suffering, stoping man's fights




Will the dragon carry me to suspended time?
Releasing all the steam from all of man kind
Pressing the subject to harbor all our rage
Ending civil war that's evil, no more plague




The mermaid echoes tunes of vexing love
Is she guided from the heavens high above?
It foretells a legend of true loving soulmates
As we stand at the mouth of the pearly gates




Happiness can be ours if we just believe
In the magic that has been perceived
Place our hearts in lore & fables told
Like finding a rainbow with the pot of gold
