and thus I still feel bad ..

This reminds of a time I was at an intersection waiting to cross the road in front of a bar, this homeless man approached me and asked me for money. I gave him whatever ones I had and he promised me he'd buy food not boos .. he smiled a toothless smile and I thought perhaps I should have just bought him something to eat .. but truly whatever he chose to do with it was none of my business ... that I brought a smile to his face was enough ..

I can relate to this wholeheartedly.
It never feels adequate.
And half my thoughts believe I'm perpetuating their situation, somehow.
