The imagery in this one is almost painful. To remove limbs & roots & utterly change who/what a person is, simply to be welcome at home...seems cruel. I've known a number of people who simply cut out family or friends because this was what was expected of them. Perhaps that's why I'm reading it this way. It's beautiful, truly. It aches
