Strange contrast. London has the highest number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals of any city in the world - and 1.7% of the houses empty - and 25% of the U.K's homeless street sleepers are in London.

It's a dilemma everywhere, unfortunately, Paul. There are communities developing alternatives to homelessness and yet most think they deserve nothing but to be pushed on somewhere else. Each homeless person has a story.

"I" was almost there. Or maybe I was. Lived in a doggone tent for 2 months in '08, (not for amusement or "vacation") Was interesting, but not much fun. Especially when it rained. But I do not regret the experience. But was glad to move in with a pseudo-Mennonite, lesbian, city bus driver, and sheep farmer.She could be pretty wacky, but i kept her in line for a year &a half, before moving on to a house-share situation that made Natalia seem a pillar of stability. Twas an "interesting" phase of "my" life.
