I am the voice for those who cannot be their own
Those who lack the skill, the understanding or the patience to carry out everyday conversation
Those are the unheard who need to be heard
So often, their wants are shunned
Their needs are ignored
Their right to self-expression hidden away

Older high functioning people with autism speak and understand way better than me!!
There is a poet here at DU who i often call upon to interpret or translate the world to me
as my being a schizophrenic doesn't afford me understand over half the time.
I've found that many autists have more problems with self image and view and confidence.
I have a stepson who is autistic but he has an awesome support group and so maybe his
situation doesn't count?
Anyways,
at first i thought You were speaking on the behalf of animals until i saw Your #themes and so
well done, this spill

In my job I work a lot with people with disabilities and it irks me that people do not take the time to hear their needs, even though at times I know it isn't easy
