Look

We danced all night to the beat of the band
you took my hand, and I looked in your eyes
the what ifs laid in wonder
I wandered a bit til the lights came on

a spark like that, made us both pretend
life had started again
I breathed you in
in one last final breathe

we said we wouldn't forget
and fate would bring us back
if it was meant to be
no numbers took
just a kiss, a smile
and a never forgetting look

This has a Garth Brooks
feel to it ... The Dance, I believe
is what the song is called.
But yeah ... now I`m in the mood
to hear that song😊.

I was working as a cashier/stock girl
for K`Mart - when they existed - some
long years back, and Garth had stopped
by to do a promo on his debut album
when he was just starting out.
I was no more than five feet from him.
He`s very short ... I`m 5`11 and he was
shorter than that ... anyway, and if I
knew he was going to be where he
was today, I would have asked for an
autograph; could have even shook the
son`of`a`bitch`s hand but I was young
and into rock!
