During my time of taking Special Needs, courses in college i had to go out into the community and interview leaders and teachers and schools and clinics involved in Special Needs people -- mostly children as my major at the time was Child Development.
After many years in that field i started to not like the term "Special Needs" as i began to think it was a way for the non-needing people to placate and condescend people with REAL issues. Maybe it's just me.
I realize tags are needed to classify so groups can get the monies needed but do we really have to use these for individuals?
This is my long-winded spill for what Your spill, here caused me to think about.
