A letter to Boddah

I wrote a letter to Boddah.
It said it’s nice to meet ya.
He said I cannot see ya,
But it was nice to hear.

If I gave away all that which was mine,
Then they would leave empty handed.
Thieves have stolen the stars from my eyes.
We no longer shine, but we are less demanding.
Flaws fall to the floor.
Redeem your voucher at the door.

I wrote a letter to Boddah.
The words they disappear.
Invisible ink to hide my stain.
I am the fallen tear.

A million possibilities.
A micro-second, then gone.
I hope one day I will find my gun
And be allowed to put down my cross.
I carry this life with me everywhere that I go,
So let me rest upon the shore and let the gentle breeze, gently blow.

I wrote a letter to Boddah.
I told him I was around.
He said well may the sun continue to shine for you.
I said it couldn’t be found.
I hide away in my spaceship,
Observing human life and what they do to it.
They seem to know what they are doing,
As they rip apart my mind.
I know what they are doing,
When I see through their lies.

I wrote a letter to Boddah.
I sealed it with a wish.
I never complained about a thing.
Somethings they just don’t hit.

I rearranged my way of thinking.
Given up on getting them to try quitting.
I tried to fight so hard for love.
Fighting for something to believe in;
But never believing in your words of trust.

I have given up on living.
I write this letter for you.
I wrote an epilogue of lies to Boddah.
I hope it gets me through.
