Taking responsibility.
God will send calamities upon my heathens
Oh will he now frail old reverend?
I’m sorry to say I just don’t believe you
My soul isn’t cursed with your dire delusions
So why did you bring me to this empty place?
With cathedrals and steeples that peer through the tree tops
I won’t be infected with your affliction
So are you still hoping to turn me with your one sided reason?
It’s not like I’m not a believer, I believe in plenty
Touch is sacred for your one true lover
But I won’t be a follower and employ a god
I don’t need a victim to lay down my blame
You see, I take responsibility and control my deeds
I won’t pick a deity and stab them in the back
Because I’ve realised we are the players in this cruel twisted game.
