Fallen Angels

Forgotten Angels in the dark
Bleeding and bruised beyond recognition
They cry out through their cross-stitched lips
To save them from these goddamned pits

A devil there to slice their wings
Shill cries echo from their screams
A chain to hold them in the air
The demons violate beyond repair

Red ribbons falling from their bodies
Dripping into the chasm below
Where hellhounds pace the floor
They know
One day those chains will snap
And then
They get to taste the flesh again

One Angel yells
The loudest of all
For God to save them from this fall
A holy growl from up above
Assures they won't return with love

Another slash upon their wings
Another tug to make them scream
Once glowing eyes so dim with resolution
Their only home this institution

The walls are sharp with twisted vines
To make sure their heavenly climb
Is brutal
Painful
Tinged with tears
As devils fillet them with their spears

Once above these pits of Hell
They are not welcome within their realm
Doomed to wander aimlessly
Forever through eternity.
