Torn
I've been happy with my life
successful, comfortable
enjoyed with my wife
busy schedule; at 'full steam'
both working hard
building 'the dream'
Whoa! What just happened?
Met a woman; .... not my 'type'
mesmerising, hypnotising
I'm oh so smitten; undone
this woman is wild and free
a spirited creature, soulful;
confused, perplexed; is this me?
Yet I am fascinated, transfixed
living two lives side by side
both give pleasure in equal measure
each enjoying time spent with me
it cannot last; train wreck imminent
... two years later still love them both
I sit and watch them chat like friends
as they carefully, deftly avoid ... me
yet they both know of each others role
both jealous but each caring of my soul
this pair of sweet angels in my life
each an intrinsic part of my world
without either would leave me forlorn
devastated, inconsolable;
my heart torn.

What a situation to find yourself in... I think I get the same mixed feelings just reading this.
It's beyond my comprehension, but I can feel both the struggle and relief in these words of yours.

A sign of a good poem is the opportunity for the readers to put themselves in the narrator's shoes and examine how they would deal with the situation. This reminds of a great movie, "Professor Marston and the Wonder Women".

Eventually, all good things must come to an end. Unless, of course, y’all are headed towards a long term polyamory kind of thing.
Personally, I couldn’t do it; not over a long period of time as eventually the heart starts to deteriorate.
