It doesn't matter
where you
run to
who you
run to
what drugs
you take
you can never run
from the whispers
that whisper
unbidden thoughts
in your head
and as you stand
between a rock
and a hard place
where a decision
has to be made
will you control
these unbidden whispers
or will fade
into the shadows
that will bring you
no peace
only pain
