Wintry Lust
What remains of my sun?
Clouds, facades of the high skies,
obscuring the mirrored daystars of my eyes!
There you are in my sky,
whirling in tears in the wind.
I want to reach up and grab hold of you.
I see the two searing-white pearls
of your eyes in their wintry lust.
I don’t see us together again though.
I want to hold you again in the lilac heat,
embrace in the warmth of your arms,
thaw in their affection.
Clouds, facades of the high skies,
obscuring the mirrored daystars of my eyes!
There you are in my sky,
whirling in tears in the wind.
I want to reach up and grab hold of you.
I see the two searing-white pearls
of your eyes in their wintry lust.
I don’t see us together again though.
I want to hold you again in the lilac heat,
embrace in the warmth of your arms,
thaw in their affection.
