Living by the gun # Bonnie & Clyde
What caliber of people them
was that bond formed of talk in bed
the romance counjered in their heads
pillows secrets share the dark intent
perhaps a throwaway remark, but a question asked
a dare, that concieved into a plan
a formulea of where and when
from a mundane daily slog
to what if's for kicks, we steel and rob
(reader you are in their shoes
now's the moment which path would you choose)
Beatty and Dunaway the flickering stars
captured the plight of the tragic pairs lives
robbing and shootings the squealing of tyres
their WANTED poster displayed to the crowd
dead or alive the price on each head
the road of felony its dollar signs
the adrenalin as they looked in each others eyes
a bond in trust each one, now bold allies
a pairing of courage and that is the trade
the law and its captains the badges and braid
the posse was formed, and began the chase
As they bared in nudity the friction blue
the gasps for more and more as strokes grow short
each teller hit the climax of a weighted sack
gave all from the vault to grasping hands
to speed a destiny, felony and desire a daily job
public property both bad and good
puritan righteousness, shining and bright
persued them relentlessly, no corner to hide
the short and the sweet a grim fairy tale
pools of blood mingled the bullets hail
for love and for danger they lived and they died
footnote
IT takes some Balls sieze the day
carpe diem live it in our way
the obituary is our grit
just their spirit left to narrate this
