ink

A most excellent start! I could see this being a emotional punch in the gut all the way through with a bit of refinement. Why can't you work with color? Why are you color blind? Does the ink drip like blood? Find synonyms that convey a bit more power to some of the more common words.

at the time I wrote this I had depression in mind and was trying to use ink as a metaphor for depression and colour blindness as a lack of that vibrancy in life.
I don't generally write metaphorically so it was a bit experimental    :)

I completely understood the depression/lack of vibrancy metaphor, and my comments had that factored in. As an experiment, I would say write more in this fashion! Because of the one verse 'a fuck I couldn't savor' (along those lines?) the exact thought I had was 'I wish there was more of an emotional punch'. Still, it is an excellent read and gives lots to think about.
