Metropolis, And The London Tube
The great metropolis
Sound of traffic
Steel grey sky
Hint of a chill
The underground tunnel
Commuters wait
The train approaches
Wheels slow and clanky
The passengers board
Strangers
Silent, brooding perhaps
The journey begins
Through the tunnel
Out into the open
Past landmarks
Houses and factories and hills
The journey ends
The strangers descend
Another day on the tube
Sound of traffic
Steel grey sky
Hint of a chill
The underground tunnel
Commuters wait
The train approaches
Wheels slow and clanky
The passengers board
Strangers
Silent, brooding perhaps
The journey begins
Through the tunnel
Out into the open
Past landmarks
Houses and factories and hills
The journey ends
The strangers descend
Another day on the tube
