Aching Heart

I don't know how to express
this aching heart
it's killing me to see you wreaked
just want to make things right
have you whole again
like you were before
don't understand what's happening
i'm scared to lose you to your own mind

can't you see me hurting?
i'm begging for this madness to stop
even though it's out of your hands
don't know if I can take this ether
I feel shattered at times
then put back together
only to get shattered once again
I don't know how to explain this
afraid I'll come off insensitive
so I just bottle it up inside

don't want to come home one day
only to find you're gone for good
I wouldn't be able to live in this world
need to fix you and myself
but somethings are out of my control
made a promise to protect you at all cost
not sure how to do that
not when it's you who's destroying you
