A father's Advice

Listen my son
What I am about to tell you
Is not a pun
I am telling you this
because you are my son
These are the lessons I wish
I could have taught you before
Your story began

I truly hope that you learn
To be your truest self
I truly hope that you know
That I have blessed you
I truly hope that my words
Will teach you.

Listen to my lessons
Because I might not get a chance
To state them twice.

I'm sorry that I told you
To never cry
Just look at how your brothers die
On the inside
I don't want that for you.

Take care of your sister
For my sins are the reason
Why I think she will never
Find the right mister
I know the life which I have live
And I honestly don't wish for her
To be with a guy like me.

So please be better than me.

Know that alcohol will change your spirit
That is why we call it spirits
So be careful around it.

Have fun as much as you can
But know that there will
Come a time in which you
Must work
So find that balance.

Be the light that this world needs

I may have been a demon in life
But I am hoping that I have raised
An Angel

Be a blessing unto others
Be greater that what you
Were yesterday

My son take these short lessons.
I am hoping that they take you far.
