Breathless Views
Morning breaks her trance
and here I stand, in front of you
in awe, in anticipation
waiting, watching
the dawn, the eruption
the sparkle in those eyes dancing
daylight rises, the roses bloom
the scent of honeysuckle drips off your smile
still, so still, my heart plays
the perfect melody, for two
as we tangle and tango
throughout the afternoon
the stars sit patiently
out on back
waiting for their moment to shine
to sparkle in your eye
but they won't get their chance
as tonight the only breathless view
will be of me, watching you
